Crowns can restore damaged teeth, support comfortable function, and help complete a natural-looking smile through treatment tailored to your needs.
Dental bridges fill gaps from missing teeth, helping you eat, speak, and smile with greater confidence while supporting your smile’s alignment.

Ongoing implant restoration visits assess your gums, bone density, and connected areas, helping us monitor your oral health and address concerns early.

Repairing and replacing teeth

What Is Restorative Dentistry?

Restorative dentistry repairs damaged teeth and replaces missing teeth. It includes dental implants, same-day crowns, implant restoration, CEREC teeth in a day, bridges, inlays and onlays, and cracked tooth repair. Depending on your needs, treatment may restore a tooth, fill a gap, or connect a replacement to an implant. Ongoing check-ups assess your gums and bone density around restorations and implants.

Restore Your Everyday Wellbeing

Benefits of Restorative Dentistry

When damage, wear, or tooth loss changes your oral health, the effects can reach far beyond one tooth. Restorative Dentistry brings repairs and replacement care into a thoughtful plan shaped around your needs. We consider the condition of your teeth, gums, and supporting areas, so your next steps feel clear, connected, and purposeful.

Return to Comfortable Daily Function

Damaged or missing teeth can make ordinary routines feel less natural. Restorative care can help you manage meals, conversations, and other daily activities with greater ease, so your mouth supports the way you want to live each day.
Visible damage or tooth loss may make you hide your smile in photos, conversations, or professional settings. Restoring your teeth can help you feel more at ease in social moments and show up without constantly thinking about what others may notice.
A damaged or missing tooth can affect nearby teeth and change how your bite comes together. Replacing or repairing affected areas helps support a more balanced smile, reducing the chance that one concern will create added strain elsewhere.
Worn, broken, or uneven teeth can create areas that are difficult to clean well. Restorative care may make brushing and flossing more manageable, helping you maintain a cleaner mouth and keep daily dental habits on track.
Unaddressed dental concerns can leave you wondering what may happen next. A personalized restorative plan gives you clearer direction, helping you understand your options and move forward with care that reflects your needs and priorities.
Restorative care is part of an ongoing approach to protecting your smile. Regular check-ups help us monitor your teeth, gums, and supporting areas, while consistent home care helps you preserve your results and respond to changes early.

You Can Move Forward with a Complete Smile and Renewed Confidence in Daily Life.

Your Restorative Dentistry Procedure in Three Clear Steps

Knowing what to expect can make restorative dentistry feel more manageable. We look at your needs, explain the available options, and help you feel more prepared to choose care for repairs or complete tooth replacement.
1

Assess Your Restoration Needs

Your visit begins with a thorough examination and X-rays so we can assess the area needing care. We talk through your concerns, whether you need a repair or a complete replacement, and explain your options in clear language. You have time to ask questions before choosing a restorative plan.
2

Receive Personalized Restoration

Your care may include a dental implant, same-day crown, bridge, inlay or onlay, cracked tooth repair, or implant restoration, based on your needs. With CEREC Teeth in a Day, artificial teeth can be made in our office during one visit when the procedure is suitable for you.
3

Protect Your Restored Smile

After your restoration, continual check-ups help us assess your gums and the bone density surrounding an implant when applicable. Ongoing care gives you a clearer view of how the surrounding areas are doing and supports the comfort, function, and confidence of your restored smile.

Frequently asked questions

Restorative Dentistry FAQs

Questions about Restorative Dentistry are natural, whether you need to repair a cracked tooth, replace missing teeth, or restore an existing implant. We explain your options and what to expect, then invite you to reach out with anything not covered below.

What does Restorative Dentistry include?

Restorative Dentistry repairs or replaces teeth affected by damage, decay, or tooth loss. Our services include dental implants, same-day crowns, implant restoration, bridges, inlays and onlays, and cracked tooth repair. We recommend ongoing checkups to monitor your gums, bone, and surrounding areas.
Cost depends on the restoration you need and the condition of your teeth, gums, and supporting bone. We review your recommended care and available payment options before treatment, so you can understand the planned steps and ask questions about your investment.
Comfort depends on the procedure, but we plan each visit around your needs. Wand anesthesia, intraoral cameras, low radiation digital X-Rays, and sedation dentistry may support a calmer experience when appropriate. We explain what you may feel and how to care for the area afterward.
Treatment time varies by restoration. Same-day crowns and CEREC may reduce the number of visits, while bridges, implants, and cracked tooth repairs involve different steps. We outline your appointments after examining your smile and discussing the result you want.
You may be a candidate if a tooth is damaged, missing, cracked, or difficult to restore with routine care. We assess your oral health, gums, and supporting bone before recommending an option. Your goals and the condition of nearby teeth also guide planning.
During your visit, we examine the area, discuss your goals, and use imaging or intraoral cameras when helpful. For a bridge, we may prepare adjacent teeth and take impressions. We then fit and adjust the restoration, review home care, and plan follow-up.
Dental bridges fill a gap by using nearby teeth for support, while dental implants replace a tooth root and support a restoration. Inlays and onlays preserve more of a damaged tooth than a full crown may. We compare suitable choices during your exam.
Care varies by restoration, but daily brushing, flossing, and regular checkups remain important. Avoid using restored teeth as tools and be cautious with hard foods, especially after certain cosmetic or restorative work. We give you specific instructions for your bridge, crown, implant, or repair.
A restoration’s lifespan depends on the material, your bite, home care, and regular dental visits. We check your restoration, gums, and surrounding areas during ongoing appointments. Those visits help us notice changes and discuss maintenance before small concerns affect your care.
You can share concerns before treatment, and we will explain each step in plain language. Our comfort features include lavender towels, eye covers, neck pillows, noise-canceling headphones, and flat screen TVs. Nitrous oxide sedation may also help you relax when appropriate.

Comfort and Precision Through Modern Innovation

Better tools don’t just make dentistry faster. They change what actually happens in the chair. Three-dimensional imaging shows us problems long before you feel them, which means smaller treatments caught early instead of larger ones down the road. Digital design lets us build and place many restorations while you wait, so you skip the temporary crown and the second appointment altogether. Laser treatment replaces scalpels and sutures in procedures that once required both, and recovery gets easier as a result. At Chattanooga Dental Studio, we judge every piece of equipment by whether it makes your visit more comfortable and your results more predictable.
